Your adventure begins in the early hours, between 2:00 and 3:00 AM, depending on where your hotel is located. Our friendly driver will pick you up right on time so you can start your Mount Batur Jeep journey stress-free.
You’ll arrive at our comfortable basecamp around 4:00 AM. Here, you can warm up and wake up with a complimentary tea or coffee before starting your ride. It’s also a great time to meet your local jeep driver and guide.
At 4:30 AM, the real excitement begins as you hop into a 4WD jeep and make your way up the mountain. Unlike trekking, the jeep tour lets you relax and enjoy the scenery as you ascend to the best sunrise point on Mount Batur.
By around 5:20 AM, you’ll arrive at the jeep sunrise viewpoint, located at the middle slope of Mount Batur. Just in time to catch the golden light rising behind the volcano peaks.
As you wait, you’ll be served a light breakfast of bread, snacks, fruit, and a hot drink. The view? Absolutely jaw-dropping.

After enjoying sunrise and breakfast, at around 7:00 AM you’ll continue your adventure to explore the stunning black lava fields. These unique volcanic landscapes were formed from Mount Batur's historic eruptions.
At around 8:00 AM, your next stop is the iconic Paperhills Cafe in Kintamani. This hidden gem offers not only amazing food and coffee but also panoramic views of Mount Batur and Lake Batur.
By 9:00 AM, your driver will be ready to take you back to your hotel. Tired but happy, you’ll arrive before lunchtime with amazing stories and stunning photos to share.
